This Privacy Policy explains how the Synaptic Front mobile application and its related online services (together, the “Service”) process information. The Service is operated by Pavlo Vasylchenko (“we”, “us”, or “the Service Provider”). For privacy questions or requests, contact games@vasylchenko.me.
Synaptic Front does not require an account and does not contain advertising or personalized advertising. We do not sell personal information. Most game progress and settings remain on your device. Limited technical information is sent to our server to provide news and online multiplayer. With your control, the application also uses a third-party gameplay analytics service (devtodev) to help us understand and improve the game; analytics can be turned off at any time in the application settings.
The application stores the following information locally:
Campaign progress, achievements, and presentation settings are not currently synchronized with our server. You can remove local application data through your device settings or by uninstalling the application, subject to any backup retained by your device's backup provider.
When you open the main menu or online multiplayer lobby, the application may contact our server to request news or other content for that screen. The request may contain:
The application does not send the amount of time spent on a screen. As with any network connection, our server and network infrastructure also receive the Internet Protocol address and standard connection metadata needed to route and protect the request.
To understand how the game is played and where it can be improved, the application uses the third-party analytics service devtodev, operated by devtodev (see the devtodev Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum). Unless you turn analytics off, the application sends gameplay and technical events to devtodev, including:
Analytics events are associated with a pseudonymous random installation identifier generated by the application, not with your name, email address, or account. The application does not send devtodev your multiplayer display name, lobby or session codes, reconnect tokens, map seeds, or free-form text. Collection of the advertising identifier and vendor identifiers is disabled in the analytics SDK configuration.
You can turn analytics off at any time in the application settings (“Analytics collection”). Turning it off stops further collection and sends devtodev a request to delete previously collected analytics data associated with your installation identifier. If you later turn analytics back on, devtodev treats you as a new user.
If you choose online multiplayer, the Service processes information needed to create and operate a lobby and match, including:
Display names, lobby settings, and player status are visible to other lobby participants. Information about a public lobby, including its player display names, may be shown in the public lobby catalog. Game commands and relevant match status are relayed to the other participants in the same match.
The current version does not request or collect your email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, precise device location, photographs, microphone recordings, payment information, advertising identifier, IMEI, or other hardware identifier. It does not use cookies, advertising pixels, or advertising SDKs, and analytics events are not used to show you advertising.
We process the information described above only to:
Where the laws of the European Economic Area or United Kingdom apply, the legal basis for multiplayer and requested online features is performance of the Service requested by you. The legal basis for proportionate security, reliability, and gameplay analytics processing is our legitimate interest in operating, protecting, and improving the Service; you can object to analytics processing at any time by turning it off in the application settings. We process information when necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertising or data-broker companies. Information may be processed by:
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the Service Provider, or the Service.
If device backup is enabled, Android may back up application files such as progress, settings, achievements, and the random installation identifier using the backup provider configured on your device. With Google's backup service, backup data is stored in the private application backup area associated with your Google Account and is handled under the Google Privacy Policy. Availability and handling may differ when another device manufacturer or backup provider is used. You can control device backup through your Android settings.
Local information remains on your device until you clear the application's data or uninstall it, subject to device backup and restoration settings.
Multiplayer lobby and match state, reconnect tokens, commands, state hashes, and replay data are held in server memory only while needed to operate the session. Disconnected lobby slots and abandoned or completed sessions are removed automatically after short operational grace periods. This session state does not survive a server restart.
The current news service processes screen event requests to return the requested content and does not store them in an application database. Security and infrastructure logs may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, after which they are deleted or de-identified unless a longer period is required by law.
Gameplay analytics events are stored by devtodev under its retention rules: on our current plan, individual (raw) events are retained for up to approximately 90 days, while aggregated reports may be kept for longer. When you turn analytics off, a deletion request is sent to devtodev for the data associated with your installation identifier.
Online multiplayer is optional. Gameplay analytics can be turned off at any time in the application settings (“Analytics collection”); turning it off stops further collection and requests deletion of previously collected analytics data. You can prevent further network processing by not using online features or by uninstalling the application. Uninstalling does not automatically delete data already contained in infrastructure logs or device backups.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact games@vasylchenko.me to make a request.
Synaptic Front does not create user accounts. Because we do not maintain an authenticated account or permanent user profile on our server, we may need information from you to locate a relevant record, and in some cases we may be unable to reliably associate server information with you. We may retain information when required by law or when a limited exception to a deletion request applies.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, or under the minimum age required by applicable law in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to the Service, contact games@vasylchenko.me so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Production network connections use HTTPS or secure WebSockets. The multiplayer service applies message-size, rate, command, and session limits, and reconnect tokens are not included in public lobby information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location and the location of the infrastructure used to provide the Service, information may be processed outside your country of residence. This includes gameplay analytics events processed by devtodev, whose servers may be located in other countries; international processing by devtodev is governed by its Data Processing Addendum. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service or applicable requirements change. We will publish the updated policy with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the application or through another appropriate channel when required by law.
